Economics in one lesson is the best book for starting to understand economics. Henry Hazlitt is the author of Economics in one lesson. Hazlitt did not study economics in any college. It does not matter. Nobody has ever been as clear as Hazlitt.
The book is one of the most famous books written in the tradition of the Austrian School of Economics. It starts with a wonderful explanation on how everybody tends to explain economics based on "what is seen", forgetting "what is not seen". The story of the boy who broke a window takes the reader to a wonderful explanation about how economy works. Hazlitt takes this idea from Frederic Bastiat, one of the fathers of modern libertarian movement.
Surprisingly, Hazlitt summarizes economics in just one lesson: The art of economics consists in looking not merely at the immediate but at the longer effects of any act or policy; it consists in tracing the consequences of that policy not merely for one group but for all groups.
Wonderful ¡¡¡

Wonderful !!!

MISES.ORG
